Summer in the south just has a different vibe.

Sure, it’s a bit humid. But that’s why cold drinks and a concert on the lawn make for such a great way to spend an evening in the Triangle.

We have a number of outdoor concert venues and they’re all worth spending some time at in the coming months.

There’s the Koka Booth Amphitheater in Cary, Walnut Creek, Red Hat Amphitheater in Downtown Raleigh, and the N.C. Museum of Art. On top of those major draws are a number of smaller venues designed for an array of outdoor festivities but that also hold summer concerts, like North Hills Park, and even NC State’s Carter-Finley Stadium. The options are many, and always fun.

Raleigh’s ever-growing national reputation continues to pull the attention of the largest national acts, like the Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, and the Zac Brown Band, among a number of other acts who may not be as big name-wise, but have devoted followers.

Now’s the time to pay attention to the community calendars and websites (including this one) to stay on top of everything that’s heading our way in the coming months that help make Raleigh, Cary, Apex and the surrounding region such a great place to live.
