North Hills holiday events for the kids includes Santa, movies

It’s safe to say the Holidays are here. Thanksgiving is in a couple of days, and of course, then comes shopping season, which in America is a holiday all its own.

In the days to come, remember that these times are about letting go of what the “every day” delivers us and spending time with family and friends. Even if you have to do it in between runs to the mall or grocery store, grab a few minutes with those most important to you.

Thankfully, places like North Hills in Midtown are making it easy for Triangle-area families to have some fun in the midst of the all-too-busy holiday season. The entertainment center located off of Six Forks Rd. next to the Beltline has opened a “Winter Wonderland” series of events and attractions.

For starters, Santa will be visiting Midtown Park at North Hills on Saturday, December 6, and a week later on Saturday, December 12.

On 12/6, North Hills will also be showing two Christmas movies, the first being the highlight in the original animated version of “Dr. Seuss’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” The second movie is pretty good, too: Will Ferrell’s classic (and family friendly) “Elf.”

The evening’s events will kick off at 4:00 p.m. and also have a number of attractions for the young ones.

Parents will also enjoy the array of sales that will certainly be made prominent in the next several weeks.
