Town of Cary to celebrate local business with Holly Daze Shoppe

This is a great idea, and we hope a tradition that continues.

The Town of Cary is sponsoring and promoting the work of local artisans and small business owners with its Holly Daze Shoppe, located at 120 E. Chatham Street. For three weeks, the “pop-up” store will rotate 45 local groups who produce unique handmade and locally-sourced gift items like soaps, artwork, candles and other alternatives to what’s on the shelf at Best Buy.

The Holly Daze Shoppe can serve as a model for all Triangle communities, which thrive with entrepreneurship and creativity. From craft beer makers to independent video game programmers, the energy for local business in our region is a major reason why this is so often considered one of the best places to live in America.

The store opens at 11:00 a.m. Monday to Saturday, closing at 4:00 each day. It will stay open until December 21. Local artists and businesses to be featured at the Holly Daze Shoppe include, among many others:

  • Glass Wizardry
  • YHWH7 Potte
  • Jessica Meyers
  • Sherri Redfield
  • Mary Kruger
  • Orange Cat Art
  • SJ Hall Artwork & Design
  • Kelley Gemma
  • Rustic Attitudes
  • Todd Hartzell
  • Inspired by Kate
