If you need something to do this weekend, head on over to Cary this Saturday, August 24, for its annual Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival.

One of the Triangle’s most attended yearly events, this parade of all things local and creative draws tens of thousands seeking to browse, buy and participate in the work of craftsman, painters, dancers and musicians from all across the Tar Heel State.

Tents will line downtown Cary from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to offer everything from hand-painted wind chimes to craft beer. Families love this event, as there’s always countless things to interest children of all ages, like the Carolina Parent Kids World and the Kids World Stage. Be sure to have fun with the number of roving entertainers as well.

In addition to the skill of local artisans, attendees can take in a variety of live music on two stages. Every hour a new act will come on to entertain the crowd, starting at 9:00 a.m.

Of course they’ll be food, too. Not only will traditional summer festival fare be available, but you can also grab some avocado bites from the Tiki Grill,¬†onion pakora from the North Carolina Marthoma Church Youth Group or a fried chicken po-boy from CK Carter Concessions.

The website has parking and shuttle information and contact information for those who may want to volunteer.

Get out there and have some fun.
