With small town charm, southern traditions and contemporary amenities, there’s very little not to like about Apex, NC.

We were not surprised to read that once again the Triangle-area city was deemed #9 on the Best Places to Live List published by Money magazine.

The abundance of green space is certainly a highlight of Apex, as its pedestrian, family-friendly downtown. It’s also very close to one of the most concentrated centers of global research and development in the world, Research Triangle Park. RTP, as it’s known locally, houses a menagerie of big name organizations in pharmaceuticals, bio-tech, high-tech and research.

Housing, of course, is another great reason why Apex landed so high on the recently published list of best places to call home. With an array of neighborhoods at all price ranges, few families are unable to find a place to live here. There are pool communities, country clubs, horse properties and townhomes ready to be occupied. In the article, Money writers stated, “The town has a range of affordable homes and is still growing, with residential building permits up 60% in the first quarter of 2013 compared with 2012.”

You can view the entire list online, which consists of 49 other “okay” places to live.

(What can we say, we’re biased.)
