Triangle To-Do: Glenwood South Global Fare

On Saturday, October 13, lovers of all things Downtown Raleigh will get treated to what looks like the start of a great new tradition: the Glenwood South Global Fare.

The event is a street extravaganza to celebrate the wide array of diversity in people, places, foods and music that characterize the city. Not unlike the International Festival, booths with vendors and music stages will highlight the event, as will an Iron Chef Cooking Competition and a “Battle of the Bars.”

Kids will be able to enjoy the “Cabbage Patch” while parents browse the shopping options from a number of local boutiques. There will also be street performers throughout the day.

Glenwood South has become the heart of Raleigh’s urban resurgence, attracting crowds to its bars and restaurants every night of the week. It’s only fitting that it be celebrated accordingly. Here are the details:
