World Beer Festival in Raleigh April 14, 2012

Get your tickets now to this weekend’s World Beer Festival in Raleigh!

As you should know by now, Raleigh—and North Carolina—has become a haven for craft breweries and beer lovers. (Sierra Nevada Brewing and New Belgium Brewing have both announced new locations in Asheville.) This isn’t about long Saturday nights at the frat house, not at all. Craft beer has become a major cottage industry (kind of a paradox, we know) and the Triangle is one of the more prominent players on the map.

This celebration of all things barley, hops and water is all about the science, skills and fun that goes into brewing beer. There is also live music and of course, food. The event is organized by All About Beer magazine.

This weekend’s World Beer Festival is held on Saturday at Moore Square in Downtown Raleigh. There are two sessions:

Afternoon: 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Evening: 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Moore Square is located here. If you miss the event this weekend, it comes to Durham again in October.
