Inman News names Raleigh-Cary top market to watch in 2012

Inman News, a website dedicated to how the real estate industry interacts with technology, named Cary and Raleigh, collectively, the nation’s best market for home values and market recovery in 2012. The site reported that homes in our area are holding their value—and climbing—faster than any other in country. Last year, average appreciation was 7 percent.

Anchored by a relatively stable job supply and a world-class university system, it’s no surprise to the people who already call this great region home. Key to this newest accolade was the “home affordability” index, which indicates that 73 percent of homes are affordable to families making the median annual income.

We’re excited to be a part of this positive news and hope to continue helping our market grow.
