Capital Area Soccer League based in Raleigh, NC

While the Capital Area Soccer League’s boys program has been ranked in the Top 20 by Soccer America for the last seven years, 2011 marks the first year that both the boys and girls programs made the Top Ten in the same year. The girls have been ranked in the Top 20 since 2009.

CASL is a remarkable program. It manages to develop exceptional soccer players every year while continually handling a booming population. The coaches are often graduates of the CASL youth programs as well, which helps breed consistency in style and familiarity with players as they rise through the ranks.

Naturally, parents play a tremendous role in keeping CASL successful, as it takes intense coordination and countless mini-van car pools and Igloos full of snacks to make sure everyone makes practice, games and tournaments. It’s not easy, to be sure.¬†However, it gets done with the help of CASL’s office team, coaches and support groups.

Many CASL players end up playing in college at all levels in and outside of the state. We’re proud to say that¬†Amy and her sister, Lindsey, played in CASL and both went on to play Division I at Wake Forest and the University of Florida, respectively.

Congratulations to both CASL girls and boys programs, and to all the coaches and parents.
