Triangle MLS: Home sales up in the Triangle

The Triangle Multiple Listing Service is reporting that November was a solid month for home sales in the area. Reports of an 11 percent increase over the same month in 2010 is good news for the local market because it helps show that a trend of month-to-month sales jumps may be underway.
Local industry leaders and builders are clearly doing their job educating our citizens because the supply of homes on the market has declined, which contributes to improved stability. When homes are built en mass on speculation of being sold, market fundamentals suffer. Builders are always better off staying just in front of demand. It looks like we’re getting there.
