Safety: Yet another reason to relocate to Cary
We’re always boasting about Cary being such a family-friendly city and having a lot of characteristics of “small town America.” And for the 13th consecutive year, we have the award to prove it.
Cary was just named the Third Safest City in America for 2010 for cities with populations between 100,000 and 499,999 people. Cary was in second place in 2009, according to CQ Press, a publishing and research company focused on “politics, policy and people.” Cary was also named the Safest City in North Carolina.
“Our focus remains the same every year—providing a safe environment for our citizens and visitors. What’s important to our citizens is important to us,” said Cary Police Chief Pat Bazemore in a press release.
Cary government has always been careful about how the city expands, taking into careful consideration the reach of services like law enforcement and fire fighting. Even with Cary’s ongoing growth, these services remain highly effective and continue to earn the satisfaction of citizens.
We are all thankful for the daily protection of these invaluable public service providers and for their impact on our economy, which could not flourish without their dedication.
