Triangle cities top national workplace gender equality list

Here’s another good stat for the Triangle: Durham and Chapel Hill collectively rank in the first position for workplace gender equality.

The ranking stemmed from analysis of census figures by US News. It should also be noted that the two metros hold a wide margin on the second city, Tallahassee, FL.

As a woman-owned business, we love to see these kinds of metrics become prominent because they signify the openness and accessibility of the resources women need to succeed in business. However, here’s another important point that can get lost:

Durham and Chapel Hill, NC

if a place is open to promoting and advancing women in the business world, then it’s beneficial to everyone, not just women. It’s a “rising tide raises all ships” kind of statistic. The more demographics that can succeed in business, the better it is for the community as a whole. We’re real estate agents, we love new business. It’s what drives our industry.

These kinds of figures also help prove why the Triangle remains one of the top places to live and do business in the nation.

The N&O has a little more on this latest accolade to be put upon the area.

So ladies, need a place to start or relocate your business? We currently have one listing in Durham, a very nice townhome close to Duke University.
